National Geographic -Xpeditions /science

At Xpeditions you can find printable maps for the classroom, which is handy in itself. But look closer. There are lesson plans for each grade level under each geographic standard. The lessons at the K-2 level seem very appropriate and are ones that the class will get really involved in. A few I checked out were: Introduction to Latitude and Longitude, Insects We Love and Hate, Over The River and Through the Woods:Traveling By Memory, and Getting Lost. It is well worth the time to learn to navigate through this site.
